Lear Corporation

Earning the corporate Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) certifications for the plant during my time at Lear Corporation was a challenging yet rewarding experience. I was responsible for driving this strategy in the urethane and final assembly areas, ensuring its successful implementation across the plant.
Some key initiatives we introduced included:

Autonomous maintenance routines, empowering operators to take ownership of basic equipment care.
The tag-out method, allowing operators to identify daily maintenance needs, document them, and submit reports via a mailbox system.
A structured tracking system, where recorded maintenance conditions were assigned to maintenance operators for follow-up.
Dashboards on the production floor, providing real-time visibility of maintenance data.
Extensive operator training, ensuring alignment with TPM strategies.

This was an incredible initiative and a demanding project. Beyond the technical aspects, it gave me the opportunity to improve my communication and leadership skills, as I had to align engineering efforts with plant-wide strategic goals.
